What we do:
As an Instructional Designer, your role is to support Roche Customers with the development and design of highly engaging learning materials and content. You will work closely in partnership with the Product Owners. The role reports directly to the Learning Services & Solutions Lead.
Your day to day responsibilities are:
As an Instructional Designer, you will develop learning assets for new processes and functionalities and translate business drivers into clear and consistent global learning content.
As a qualified expert, you:
Offer services from conception, instructional design of learning programs of different modalities and creating digital learning experiences
Close collaboration with the entire Learning Content Development Team consisting of SAP experts, Graphic Designers, and Global Product Owner, in the analysis of user needs, audience, task, learning and user experience leading to the development of final learning asset concept
Guide the development of learning goals and objectives for learning courses in collaboration with content SMEs, and approve final learning goals and objectives
Design instructional design maps, learning journeys, structures, and storyboards using a variety of instructional strategies to create engaging and inspiring learning experiences that enhance knowledge retention and transfer
Support during the learning needs analysis and select course formats and concepts that best fits to expected outcomes
Provide content SMEs with course instructional design map and interaction templates that utilize existing authoring tools so that they can populate templates with required content
Structure existing content to effective and appealing training modules, advise during module bunding and design of the global course catalog
Visual review of all global learning templates and provide direction to content SMEs for correction, or modify course design as necessary
Ensure quality and consistency in line with metrics of learning programs quality (design, structure, information flow, learning experience) across the knowledge and collaboration workspaces (e.g. Gsites, Confluence)
Stay current with learning and development best practices: adult learning theory instructional design, and training delivery including materials, methods, techniques, measurement, and evaluation
What can you bring to our team:
5+ years of demonstrated experience in an instructional design in developing various other modalities of virtual instructions (blended learning) and visual layout/design
Proven working experience of instructional design in complex projects with ambitious milestones
Proven certification in instructional design, educational technology or similar
Learning creation tools Articulate 360, Rise, Vyond, MURF and others
Experienced in agile methodologies, nice to have
Higher education (BA or MA degree), preferred
Ability to think and act strategically while remaining in the detailed execution and hands-on
Good technical skills with the ability to understand, explain and visually translate complex systems and functions into learning assets
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models (Lesson and curriculum planning skills)
Solid knowledge of course development software and Learning Management Systems, ideallyCornerstone
Expertise in the Google suite (e.g. gSlides, gSheets etc) and integrated Wiki workflows required
Ability to write and copy instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
Excellent written and verbal English
