About the Commission
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (the Commission) is an independent statutory body established to promote integrity within South Australian public administration. The Commission investigates reports of corruption within public administration and actively prevents corruption by undertaking evaluations of the practices, policies and procedures of public agencies. The Commission also delivers education programs which seek to guide the conduct of public officers in the South Australian public sector.

The Roles
The Commission is seeking to fill multiple appointments with either Senior Investigators, Investigators or Financial Investigators.
Investigator
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Investigator will conduct complex and sensitive investigations falling within the Commission’s jurisdiction, in accordance with legislation and the Commission’s policies and procedures. Strong written communication and interpersonal skills are key to ensuring success in this role. Experience in or ability to interpret and apply legislation is essential.
Senior Investigator
Reporting to a Principal Investigator, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to conduct and lead complex and sensitive investigations. You will ensure high quality investigative techniques are undertaken throughout investigations, in accordance with legislation and the Commission’s policies and procedures
Financial Investigator
Working within the Investigations section of the Commission, the Financial Investigator will prepare and present financial analysis of businesses and personal records. To ensure success in this role you will have well developed problem solving and analytical skills and be able to provide recommendations regarding investigative actions. Relevant experience and tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or other related fields is essential.
Requirements
To be successful in the roles you must possess:
- Conduct investigations as assigned and in accordance with legislation and the Commission’s policies and procedures
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective investigation outcomes and initiate and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and collect evidence and prepare statements and/or declarations to ensure their suitability for presentation before a Court in accordance with the rules of evidence
- Prepare reports, investigation plans and tactical operation plans review and approval
- Prepare briefs of evidence for review and referral to law enforcement agencies for prosecution
- Experience in or ability to interpret and apply legislation.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and an ability to think laterally

Special conditions
Applicants will be required to undergo psychometric profiling.
